The difference between hotel furniture and office furniture

First, the difference in design concepts

Office furniture has a distinct personal touch and is entirely based on the operation of the company. The hotel furniture project should also be determined according to the hotel style. Although different hotels have different styles, the furniture design should have the characteristics of both elegant and popular. Because the guests who come to consume are from south to north and even from different countries around the world, more attention should be paid to humanization in the details of furniture design. For example, the square bedside table should be made into small rounded corners as much as possible to prevent guests from accidentally bumping their heads. .

Some power control switches should be placed in a place where people can reach out of their hands as far as possible. There are power sockets and computer network cable sockets on the writing table or in the drawer. The rooms are neat and clean, and guests are safe and convenient to use. There are relatively many European and American guests in high-level hotels, most of them are taller, and the height of some beds can also be appropriately increased, as well as sofas and chairs. Hotel furniture lines are required to be concise and lively, and use as few concave and convex lines as possible to facilitate the cleaning and hygiene of the waiters; the office furniture process can be considered relatively complicated.

Second, the difference in material

Hotel furniture is more damaged than office furniture, the level of guests is different, and the concept of caring for furniture is also inconsistent, so the material requirements are very different:

Hotel furniture is suitable: high-hardness, wear-resistant, good scratch-resistant finishing furniture; coffee tables and writing desks in guest rooms. Some guests often smoke here, and accidentally burn the surface of the furniture. In the design, the fire resistance of the countertop should be considered as much as possible. Fire-resistant finishing materials or glass; office furniture generally does not need to be considered for this. The fabric of the armchair should be considered flame retardant, and the office furniture does not need to be considered for this.

The waterproof and moisture-proof performance of hotel furniture is better; while most of the hotel bathrooms are together with the guest room, affected by wet towels, steam, seasonal changes, etc., it will cause furniture deformation, edge sealing, mildew, etc., affecting the appearance of the furniture and destroying the image of the hotel , which directly affects the occupancy rate of the hotel; while the requirements for office furniture are relatively low.
